On October 26, 2015, the "Copton Cares for Autistic Children" green initiative was launched.

2015-10-26

The Copton Green Action for Autism Children has officially launched. At 9 a.m. on Saturday, the volunteers of Group ① arrived at the designated institution of the Qingdao Autism Rehabilitation Center on time. For the first time encountering autistic children, the volunteers were all very nervous and carefully followed the arrangements of the teachers present, accompanying the children to play various games and undergo training as required by the teachers. After several sessions, the children and the Copton volunteers became familiar with each other. Some read books and told stories together; some played balls together; some built blocks together; some chatted together. The children were very happy, and the Copton volunteers were even happier.

Most autistic children appear no different from normal children in appearance. The difference is that they lack language and cannot communicate normally. They are either extremely excited and active, or very quiet. Among them, there is a boy named Shuai Shuai. He loves to laugh and will give you a kiss if you approach him. When he is unhappy, he will bury his head in his arms. He sits quietly and builds various beautiful shapes with building blocks, such as flowers, flower baskets, hats... He can only utter a few unclear words. Most children are like Shuai Shuai. Through practice, they can easily complete games and activities such as building with blocks, swinging on a swing, and bouncing a ball. However, these games and activities must be carried out under the supervision of a teacher to avoid any accidents, because their attention cannot be maintained for a long time.

During the break, the Copton Lubricants volunteers fed the children the cheese cake prepared for them. Seeing that the children enjoyed it, everyone was extremely happy.

When parting, the children actually showed some reluctance. This moved everyone very much.

Copton's Green Action Group of Volunteers for Autistic Children

This event was organized by some of the Copton Lubricants employees on their own initiative. They stated that doing something that can help others during their spare time feels very meaningful and brings them great happiness. Especially for the autistic children group, many of their families have become impoverished due to them. Their families are under the double pressure of mental and economic stress and greatly need social care. Everyone expressed the intention to continue this particularly meaningful activity, calling on more colleagues and caring individuals from society to participate, and passing on more care and strength to the autistic children and their families.
