2008.05.12 United as One, Carrying Out Earthquake Relief Efforts - Making One's Own Contribution to Wenchuan

At 14:28 on May 12, 2008, a powerful earthquake of magnitude 7.8 on the Richter scale struck Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, causing heavy casualties and extensive property damage. 

Everyone has parents and children, and everyone has the bond of blood and affection. Over the course of two days, we repeatedly witnessed on the internet, in newspapers, on TV and through the radio how disasters instantly destroyed thousands of families, leaving everywhere in ruins and people displaced. The death toll continued to rise... While deeply shocked, our hearts were with the people in the disaster-stricken areas, suffering the unbearable pain of life. At this moment, all Chinese people are united under one heart. 

The severe disaster touched the hearts of everyone both within and outside the company. 

At 2:30 p.m. on May 14th, the company's staff members all gathered at the cafeteria, forming a long queue to donate their love to the people in the disaster-stricken area. They also expressed their hopes and blessings, hoping that the people in the disaster area would regain their spirits, overcome the disaster, and wish them to rebuild a beautiful home as soon as possible. The donations were sent to the civil affairs department of Laoshan District, Qingdao City that afternoon. 

Meanwhile, at the 2008 Regional Marketing Conference (Jinjiang-Guizhou-Mengxiang) held in Copton, thousands of miles away, in the 17th floor conference room of Jinport Hotel in Taiyuan City, Vice General Manager Wang Aijun called on everyone to jointly pray for the disaster-stricken areas and make donations. 

The distance from Qingdao to Sichuan is over 5,000 miles. Our hearts have always been closely connected with those in the disaster-stricken areas. We are willing to use our limited resources to set up small tents for the people in the disaster-stricken areas and offer them warm bowls of hot porridge. Let those who have lost their loved ones ease their pain and let those sleeping on the streets feel the warmth. 

With the strong support of all the people across the country and the global Chinese community, the nights in Tianfu will no longer be cold, and the stars will shine even brighter.
